-Strong entrepreneurial and people skills
-The highest degree of honesty and integrity
-A university degree and 5 years of related experience
-Fluency in English; other languages an asset
-Financial backing
-Dedication to serving the public
-Completion of the Master of Arts in Applied Legal Studies (SFU) (MAALS)
-Successful completion of the Statutory Examinations
-Admission to membership in the Society of Notaries Public of BC
